(b) The County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County are
hereby authorized to levy a special tax upon all of the assessable
property located within the said "Mosquito Control Special Taxing
District No. 1-A" of not more than Two Cents (2¢) on each One
Hundred Dollars ($100.00) of assessable property, the proceeds of
which special tax shall be accumulated and used only within the said
District and for the purposes of mosquito control only.
(c) The said District shall be entitled to share in the distribution
of any funds provided for in the annual budget of the State of Mary-
land for mosquito control on a matching fund or other basis, as is
therein established, and in any and all other funds allocable for
mosquito control purposes.
(d) Any portion of the special fund established hereunder un-
expended at the end of any year shall be carried over from year to
year and accumulated for the above purposes and the amount carried
over from year to year shall be so shown in the annual budget for
Anne Arundel County.
(e) If at any time the special taxing district herein established
shall be included within any other special taxing district established
for the purpose of levying a special tax for mosquito control, or in
the event that a tax for mosquito control is levied on all of the taxable
property within the First Election District of Anne Arundel County
or in the event that a county-wide tax is levied for mosquito control
in Anne Arundel County, then the special tax provided for under
this Act shall not be levied.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 54 of
Article 25 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition),
title "County Commissioners," sub-title "Draining Lands," re-
lating to drainage projects in the counties and to the cost thereof
and validating certain payments heretofore made by the several
county commissioners.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 54 of Article 25 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1951 Edition), title "County Commissioners," sub-title "Draining
Lands," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:
