7. And be it enacted, That all such parts of the act to which
this is a supplement which are inconsistent with, or repugnant to,
the provisions of this act, be and the same are hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 99.
An act for the benefit of James Etcherson, and others, of
Prince George's County.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the levy court of Prince-George's county shall be and is hereby
authorised, to assess and levy annually, on the assessable, property
of said county, a sum of money not exceeding thirty dollars for
each, for the support of James Etcherson, James White, Anna
Welsh, Mary Ridgway, Francis Digman, Samuel Webb, and Na-
thaniel Hall, and the same shall be collected and paid over in the
same manner that other county levies are collected and paid, for
the use of the said persons; that is to say, for the use of the said
James Etcherson, to the order of Doctor Colmore Beanes, for the
use of the said Anna Welsh to the order of Archibald Edmonston,
senior, for the use of the said James White to the order of Richard
Snowden, for the use of the said Mary Ridgway to the order of
Stanislaus Hoxton, for the use of the said Francis Digman to the
order of Francis Magruder, for the use of the said Samuel Webb
to the order of John C. Herbert, and for the use of the said Natha-
niel Hall to the order of Samuel Philip.
2. And be it enacted, That it shall be lawful for the said levy
court to allow Winefred Piles such sum as they may deem reason-
able, not exceeding forty dollars annually, so long as they shall see
cause, for the support of the infant children of Richard Hughes.

CHAPTER 100.
All act to incorporate the German Society of Maryland.
Whereas, the arrival of Germans and Switzers from Europe,
and the numerous settlements made by them in various parts of the
union, have induced a number of persons in this state to associate
themselves for the purpose of removing or lessening their distress-
es in a strange land, and these persons having applied to the gene-
ral assembly of Maryland for an act of incorporation, Therefore,
Sec. 1. lie it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
Christian Mayer, John Strieker, Augustus J. Schwartze, Brenard
J. Vonkapff, Henry Schroeder, Justus Hoppe, John Frederick
Fries, Conrad Schultz, James Keerl, Augustus Hammer, Frede-
rick Leypeld, Frederick L. E. Amelung, Michael Kimmel, Wil-
liam Krebs, Louis Brantz, Philip P. Eckel, Jacob Small, Law-
rence Thomsin, Louis Mayer, David Hoffman, and William Frick,
the present officers of the German Society of Maryland, and all
persons who are or may hereafter become members of said society,
and their successors, shall be and they are hereby created and
made one community, corporation and body politic, for ever here-
after, by the name, style and title of "The German Society of
Maryland."
2. And be it enacted, That the said corporation, and their suc-
cessors, by the name, style and title aforesaid, shall be capable in
law of purchasing, receiving, holding, selling, leasing and convey-
