CHAPTER 172.

An act authorising Sarah Bowen, Administratrix de bonis
non, of Benjamin Y. Bowen, to complete the collections
of the said Benjamin Y. Bowen.
Sec 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the said Sarah Bowen be and she is hereby authorised and empow-
ered, to collect until the first day of January eighteen hundred and
nineteen, all balances due the said Benjamin Y. Bowen as collector
of the county taxes for eighteen hundred and thirteen and eighteen
hundred and fourteen, in the same manner as he could or might
have done within the time limited by law, any law to the contrary
notwithstanding.
2. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty of the said Sarah
Bowen before she proceeds to execute or distrain the property of
any person or persons for public dues in virtue of this act, to deli-
ver to such person or persons chargeable with the same, at least
thirty days previous to levying such execution or distress, an ac-
count, written in words at full length, of the public, dues demanded
of him, her or them, with an affidavit annexed, if required, that
she. hath not received any part thereof, nor any thing as security
or satisfaction for the same, more than credit given, to the best of
her knowledge.
3. And be it enacted, That the said Sarah Bowen before she de-
rives any benefit from or under this act, shall lodge the collection
books of the said Benjamin Y. Bowen in the clerk's office of Cul-
vert county, to be opened for the inspection of all persons interest-
ed in the same.

Part of an act
repealed

CHAPTER 173.

An act to repeal a part of an Act to reinstate in the County
Court of Allegany County the proceedings of a Case
therein mentioned.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
all that part of the third section of an act to reinstate in the coun-
ty court of Allegany county the proceedings of a case therein
mentioned, that provides also, that should the road be located in
another or different direction, the said David Lynn shall not be en-
titled to any damages for either of said roads, be and the same is
hereby repealed.

Levy for her
support.

CHAPTER 174.

An act for the relief of Sally Brice, of Worcester County.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the justices of the levy court of Worcester county, be and they
are hereby authorised and empowered, so long as they shall deem
it necessary, to levy on the assessable property of said county,
annually, a sum of money not exceeding thirty dollars, for the
support and maintenance of the said Sally Brice, and that the
same be collected annually by the collector of Worcester county,
and by him paid over to the order of the levy court of said county.
