vested in the commissioners aforesaid for the purposes
hereinafter mentioned that is to say :— Beginning for the
said ground and premises on the east side of Saint Paul's
lane thirty feet north from its intersection with Dark lane
and running easterly parallel with Dark lane to Court-
land street, thence northerly bounding on the west side
of Courtland street to Saint Paul's street, thence wester-
ly, bounding on the south side of Saint Paul's street
to Saint Paul's lane, a, directed to be laid out by this act,
and thence southerly, bounding on the west side of said
lane to the place of beginning

Lots — division
and allotment
thereof.

4. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the commission-
ers aforesaid, shall lay out the ground and premises
above described, into nine lots, and shall make an allot-
ment and division thereof, at their discretion, among the
several proprietors, according to their respective inter-
ests, to whom belonged the lots lying between Court-
land street and Saint Paul's lane, and opposite to that
part of said lane which is hereby directed to be widen-
ed and straightened. And the said commissioners shall
execute and acknowledge conveyances of the said lots,
to be allotted as aforesaid, which conveyances shall vest
the titles and interest in and to the same in fee simple in
the grantees respectively, their heirs and assigns.

5. AND BE IT ENACTED, That all the title, estate
and interest, which shall be vested in any person, in
whose favor an allotment may have been made as afore-
said, and who may hereafter die intestate shall descend
to, and be vested in those heirs of such intestate who
would have been entitled to receive and inherit any title
estate or interest, heretofore held by such intestate in
the ground and property described in the third section of
this act.

6. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the concurrences
of any two of the commissioners aforesaid shall be suf-
ficient to enable such number to carry into effect all the
powers and provisions of this act.

Preamble.
|
A supplement to the act entitled, "An act for the benefit
of James Gouty, Mary Gouty, Lucretia Gouty and
John Stevens Gouty, orphan children of Zachariah
Gouty, late of Caroline county deceased.
WHEREAS an act passed at November session
eighteen hundred and twelve, authorising the orphans'
court of Caroline county to appoint a trustee to sell and
convey a small tract or parcel of land belonging to the
heirs of Zachariah Gouty of Caroline county deceased—
and whereas it is stated to this general assembly, that
the construction put upon the said act by the orphans' court
of said county, is such as tends to defeat the intentions of
the said act to which this is a supplement; Therefore,

Section 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General
assembly of Maryland, That James Andrew, the trustee
