Bond.
|
sons so appointed shall have the same powers and au-
thority to act under this law as those who are named
herein.
3. AND BE IT ENACTED, That before the
managers herein before named, or to be appointed as
aforesaid, shall proceed to act under this law, they shall
execute a bond to the state of Maryland, in the penal sum
of sixty thousand dollars, with condition that they
will well and truely conduct the drawing of said lottery
or lotteries, and pay all prizes that shall be drawn there-
in at the expiration of sixty days after the conclusion of the
drawing of such lottery or lotteries, to the persons hold,
ing the tickets entitled to such prizes, if the same shall
be demanded within six months after the conclusion of
such drawing; and that they will pay over the amount
raised by such lottery or lotteries alter deducting all ex-
penses & commissions as aforesaid, to the directors of the
library company of Baltimore for the time being, to be
by them applied as aforesaid; which bond shall be depos-
ited in the office of the clerk of Baltimore county, and
suits may be brought and prosecuted thereon, or upon
any office copy thereof, at the instance, and for the use of
any person or persons interested, in the same manner as
suits are brought and prosecuted on other bonds given to
the state.

CHAPTER 129.
An act for the relief of Robert Teeling of Worcester
county.
SEC. 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That all the right, title, interest and claim
which the state of Maryland may have in and to the real
estate of Luke Teeling, late of Worcester county, be, and
the same is hereby relinquished and released to Robert
Teeling, and his heirs; Provided that nothing herein
contained shall affect the right of any other person to
the said real estate, which may have been acquired before
the passing of this act. And provided also, That the said Ro-
bert Teeling would have been entitled to the said tract of
land had he been naturalized agreeably to the laws of
the United States at the time of his father's death; and
that the said Robert Teeling proceed to become natu-
ralized agreeably to the laws of the United States within
two years from the passage of this act.

CHAPTER 130.
An act supplementary to an act entitled, an act to lay
out and open two roads in Queen-Ann's County.
WHEREAS, doubts have arisen of the propriety of
allowing any damages to those persons who have signed
the petition for the road, running from Doctor Whitting-
ton's farm to the head of Chester: Therefore,
