Section 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the justices of the orphans'
court of Saint Mary's county, shall have full power and
authority on the petition of the said William Hebb, pro-
vided they shall he satisfied that it will conduce to the
benefit of the said child, and provided that he, the said
William Hebb, shall relinquish to his said child, any claim
he may have in a life estate to said land, to order a sale
of the said tract of land called Good Luck, upon such
terms as the said justices may think proper, and to ap-
point a trustee for the purpose of effecting such sale.

2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That any sale which
shall be made under the authority grunted by the provi-
sions of this act, shall he notified to, and confirmed by
the justices of the orphans' court aforesaid, before the
conveyance of the property shall be made, and bond in
the name of the state of Maryland, with good and suffi-
cient security, to be approved of by the said justices,
shall be given by the person or persons empowered to
sell the lands and premises aforesaid, under the order
aforesaid, for the due execution of the trust; which bond
shall be deposited with the register of wills for Saint
Mary's county, to be by him recorded among the pro-
ceedings of the orphans' court of said county, and shall
be subject to be put in suit by any person or persons in-
terested therein.

3. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the trustee to
be appointed by the order of the justices aforesaid, shall
invest the proceeds in the name of the said infant, in
such funds as the said court shall direct.

4. AND BE IT ENACTED, That any conveyance
or deed which shall be made by the trustee aforesaid, un-
der the order of the said justices of the orphans' court of
Saint Mary's county, shall be, and the same is hereby
declared to be valid and effectual, to pass and convey all
the right, title and interest of the said child, in and to
the lands aforesaid, to the purchaser or purchasers there-
on, and their heirs respectively.

5. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the said justices
of the orphans' court be, and they are hereby authorised
and empowered, on application of the said trustee, to di-
rect and order the terms and conditions of the sale of
the said lands, as they shall judge most for the interest of
the said child.

6. AND BE IT ENACTED, That in ease of the
death of the said Ann Matilda Hebb, before her arrival
at lawful age is aforesaid, or her dying intestate, without
issue, the said stock so to be purchased as aforesaid, and
the proceeds arising from the sale of the said real estate,
directed to be paid to the said child by this act, shall be
considered as a part of the real estate of Ann Hebb de-
ceased, late the wife of the said William Hebb, and
