Commissi-
oners to have

veyed and di-
vided.

2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the said commis-
sioners, or a majority of them, shall cause the lands mer-
tioned in their commission, to be surveyed and laid out
by the surveyor of the county or such other surveyor as
they may appoint, and shall proceed to divide the said
lands into so many parts as there were original holders
thereof in seventeen hundred and ninety six, and shall
allot to the said original holders thereof by metes and
bounds their respective shares thereof agreeably to their
several just and legal proportions.

3. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the said commis-
sioners or a majority of them, after having made parti-
tion and allotment in manner aforesaid, shall return their
proceedings to the county court, which shall be ratified
or rejected by the said court as justice may dictate, and
if ratified by the said court, the proceedings shall be
recorded, and the partition shall have the same force and
effect as a writ of partition and final judgment thereon ;
and the several persons to whom the allotments shall
be so made, and those claiming under them, shall be
deemed and considered as tenants in severally of their
respective allotments forever thereafter; and the costs
and expences of executing the commission aforesaid,
shall be ascertained and apportioned by the county court
among the several persons entitled, who shall unite in
said petition.

4. AND BE IT ENACTED, That in case there are
more persons than one interested in any such allotment
so made, it shall and may be lawful for the county court
to issue a commission to five discreet and sensible per-
sons to make division of such allotment among the par-
ties entitled, and the same proceedings shall be had, in
subdividing the said allotment as is prescribed for the
original division by the provisions of this act, and such
subdivisions when made and ratified, shall have the same
force and effect.

8. AND BE IT ENACTED, That in case any va-
cancy shall occur in any of the commissioners aforesaid,
by death, resignation or otherwise, the said court shall
be and are hereby authorised to supply such vacancy or
vacancies by the appointment of another person or per-
sons.

AH act authorising Robert Welch, (of Ben.) collector
of Anne-Arundel county, to complete his collections.
Section 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That Robert Welch, (of Ben.) be,
and he is hereby authorised to collect, until the first day
of January, eighteen hundred and fifteen, all balances
due him as collector of Anne Arundel county for the
years eighteen hundred and ten, eighteen hundred and
eleven, and eighteen, hundred and twelve, in the same
