1813.

said Anne Mackie pay over to her representatives such
sum of money as may remain in his hands from the pro-
ceeds of such sale, unexpended in the maintenance of
the said Anne Mackie, which bond shall be lodged in the
office of the register of wills of Baltimore county; upon
any office copy of which suit or suits may be instituted
by any person interested therein.

Preamble.

CHAPTER 112.
An act to provide for transcribing certain wills, and a
book of inventories in the register's office of Saint
Mary's county.
WHEREAS it is represented to this General Assem-
bly, that some of the records of wills, and a book of in-
ventories in Saint .Mary's county are in a ruinous situa-
tion, and daily liable to destruction; Therefore,

to be transcrib-

ed. Expence
to be levied.

Section 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That it shall and may be lawful for
the justices of the orphans' court of Saint Mary's county,
and they are hereby empowered and required to cause to
be transcribed by the register of wills of said county, in
good leather bound books, to which fair and regular al-
phabets shall he prefixed, to all such wills and book of
inventories, as they, or a majority of them in their judg-
ment may deem necessary and proper to be transcribed.

Register's
compensation.

2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the said register
shall be entitled to receive ten cents per side for all such
wills and book of inventories by him transcribed, as a
compensation for his services for transcribing the same.

Amount to
be levied.

3. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the levy court
of Saint Mary's county may and shall levy on the asses-
sable property of said county, such sum of money as the
fees for transcribing said wills and book of inventories
may amount to, to be collected and paid over by the she-
riff of Saint Mary's county to the register aforesaid.

Term of en-
actment.

4. AND BE IT ENACTED, That this act shall con-
tinue in force until the first day of February eighteen
hundred and sixteen, and no longer.

CHAPTER 113.
An act for the benefit of Mary Ann, Eliza and Frances
Johnson.
Section 1. BE IT ENACTED by the. General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the tract of land called Hog
Range containing forty three acres, granted by patent
bearing date the twentieth day of April eighteen hun-
dred and ten to Mary Ann Johnson, Eliza Johnson and
Frances Johnson, children and heirs at law of Thomas
Johnson Junr. late of Frederick county deceased, under
the assignment of a certificate transferred to their said
father in his lifetime, shall and may be subject to all the
provisions of the act entitled, an act to direct discents,
