annexed if required,) that he hath not received any part
thereof, nor any thing as security or satisfaction for the
same, more than credit given to the best of his know-
ledge.

3. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the said Tho-
mas Saulsbury before he derives any benefit from or un-
der this act, shall lodge his collection books in the clerks
office of Caroline county, to be opened for the inspection
of all persons interested in the same.

CHAPTER 111.

An act for the relief of Anne Mackie.
WHEREAS Robert Gilmor of the city of Baltimore,
by his petition to this General Assembly has set forth,
that he is the surviving executor of the last will and tes-
tament of Ebenezer Mackie deceased, that the said Eb-
enezer Mackie devised his whole estate to his wife Anne
Mackie, that the said Anne Mackie has since become a
lunatic, and is now residing abroad in great poverty, and
in a state of hopeless lunacy, that among the property so
devised there was a lot situate and lying in Baltimore
county, being part of a tract of land called Upton Court,
known and distinguished on a plat thereof by the num-
ber ninety-two; that the said lot of ground is altogether
unproductive to the said Anne Mackie, who stands in
great need of the proceeds of the same for her subsis-
tence in her present deplorable situation, and has prayed
that a law may pass authorising the said Robert Gilmor
to sell the said lot of ground, and to apply the proceeds
of the said sale to the support of the said Anne Mackie,
and the same being reasonable; Therefore,

Preamble.

Section 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the said Robert Gilmor be, and
he is hereby authorised to set up the said lot at public
sale, and to sell the same to the highest bidder on a cre-
dit of six and twelve months, with interest on the pur-
chase money from the day of sale, first giving three
weeks notice of the time and place of sale in some
newspaper printed in the city of Baltimore; and upon
the payment of the said purchase money with interest, by
a deed of bargain and sale, to convey to the purchaser
thereof, a good and sufficient title in fee simple in the
said lot and premises.

2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That before the said
Robert Gilmor shall proceed to execute the trust reposed
in him by this act, he shall give bond to the state of
Maryland with security to be approved of by the or-
phans' court of Baltimore county, in the penalty of live
thousand dollars, conditioned dial he will well and truly
apply the proceeds arising from the sale of the said lot to
the support and maintenance of the said Anne Mackie
during her life, and that he will after the decease of the
