SAMUEL, STEVENS, Jr. ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR:

Dec. Ses. 1824

as aforesaid, and contrary to the true intent and meaning of this
act, such persons so. offending, shall forfeit and pay twenty dollar*
for each and every offence, to be recovered in the name of the presi-
dent and commissioners of said village; one half of which shall be
appropriated to the informer, and the other halt to the use of the
said village.

CHAPTER 117.

An act for the relief of Rosanna Crowl, of Baltimore County.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the interest, authority, power and control of William Crowl, in,
over and to the person or property of Rosanna Crowl, his wife,
shall henceforth cease and determine, and the said William Crowl
shall not be liable for any debts hereafter contracted by the said
Rosanna Crowl; and the said Rosanna Crowl is hereby deprived
of all claim to any interest or claim in or to the property of the
said William Crowl.

Rights vested
in Rosanna.

2. And be it enacted, That the said Rosanna Crowl shall be, and
she is hereby declared capable to have, hold, take, receive, sue for
and recover by compromise, suit or suits in law. or equity, property of
any kind, whether real, personal or mixed, in as full and ample a
manner as if she was a feme sole, and to hold use and enjoy the
same for her own use and benefit, and the same to dispose of ac-
cording to her will and pleasure, without the let, hindrance, moles-
tation, interference or consent of her said husband, in as full and
ample a manner as if she were a feme sole, and may in her. own
name sue and be sued at law and in equity, in the same manner as
if she were a feme sole.

CHAPTER 118.

An act to divorce Sarah Kerr, and her husband John Kerr.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That Sarah
Kerr, of the city of Baltimore, be, and she is hereby divorced
from bed, board and mutual cohabitation with her husband George
Kerr.

CHAPTER 119.

An act to divorce Allen Ward of Baltimore County.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That Al-
len Ward of Baltimore county, be, and he is hereby divorced from
bed, board and mutual cohabitation with his wife Harriet Ward.
2. And be it enacted, That the said Harriet shall not by virtue of
her marriage with the said Allen Ward, be authorised to have or
claim any right or interest in the estate, real, personal or mixed, of
the said Allen, to be by him acquired after the passage of this act.

An act to confirm the proceeding of Somerset County Court.
Whereas, the April term of Somerset county court last past was
adjourned to the first day of the next succeeding term of said
court in September; and whereas, on the said day of adjournment,
no judge of the said court attended, and whereas, on the next day
sundry proceedings were had in the said court as of the said April
