ers of the
school fund.

CHAPTER 201.
A further additional supplement to the act, for the distribution of a certain fund
for the purpose of establishing free Schools in the several counties therein
named.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the following five gentlemen We appointed in each election district in
Montgomery county as Commissioners of the Schoo1 Fund for said
county, viz. in the election district called Rockville, William Wilson,
William Scott, Thomas Brook, George C. Washington, and Alaxerses
Fisher; in the district called Clarksburgh, William Wilson, of John,
Captain Levi Philips, Greenberry Griffith, of Howard, Baker Wa-
ters, and fames Day; in the district called Goshen, Major Ephraim
Gaither, Colonel John H. Riggs, Joshua Dorsey, Richard Griffith,
and Thomas Davis; in the district called Berry's, Thomas Gettings,
Richard Ross, Thomas Waters, Doctor Henry Howard, and Doctor
John Bowie; in the district called Medley's, Doctor William Brewer,
Daniel Trundle, William Darne, John Pool, Jun. and Godshear
Doughs, be, and are hereby appointed a board of commissioners for
the purpose of distributing and applying the fund mentioned in the
act to which this is a supplement.

Meetings--
Vacancies.

2. And be it enacted, That the said commissioners shall meet at
the Court House in Rockville on the first Thursday in March court,
and the first Thursday in November court, and on the same days in
each and every year thereafter, and at such other time and places as
may be appointed by their own adjournments; and in case any vacan-
cy shall happen, the remaining commissioners, or a majority of them,
shall from time to time fill up such vacancies.

Adjourn-
ments.

3. And be it enacted, that if a majority of the commissioners shall
not meet on any of the days herein appointed, or at any time by them
appointed, the persons present may adjourn to some other day of
which adjournment the absent commissioners shall have due notice.

Officers, &c.

4. And be it enacted, That at the first meeting of said commission-
ers, they, or a majority of them, shall choose one of the number to he
President, and one other member to be Secretary, and it shall be the
duty of the Secretary to keep fair and correct entries in a book to be
provided for the purpose, of all the proceedings of the said commis-
sioners; and all directions or orders for the payment or distribution
of any part of the said funds, shall be signed by the President and
countersigned by the Secretary.

Authority

5. And be it enacted, That the President shall draw on the Trea-
surer of the Western Shore from time to time for such sums as may
be directed by the board of commissioners, and that the said Treasu-
rer shall be authorised to pay to the order of the said President, sign-
ed by him, and countersigned by the Secretary of said board, such
sum as he may draw of the said fund, to be applied to the education
of the poor children of the county.

Repeal.

6. And be it enacted, 1 hat all such parts of the act to which this
is a supplement, which are inconsistent with this act, be, and are here-
by repealed.

CHAPTER 202.
A supplement to an act entitled, "An act to regulate and discipline the Militia
of this State.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
each and every commandant of a regiment, or extra battalion, is
hereby required, under the penalty of fifty dollars for every neglect
or refusal, in each and every year hereafter, to order two meetings
