CHAPTER 19.
An act to repeal the laws now in force for the destruction of Crows in Caroline
county.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That all laws
now in force in Caroline county, relating to the destruction of crows
in said county, so far as the same relates to Caroline county,is hereby
repealed from and after the passage of this act.

Repeal.

CHAPTER 20.
An act authorising and requiring the levy court of Frederick county to pro-
vide a suitable room for holding the Orphans' Court of said county, and safe
keeping of the records and papers of said court.
WHEREAS it is represented to this general assembly that the room
occupied by the orphans' court of Frederick county, is much too
small, and a very unsafe place for the repository of the records and
papers of said court: And whereas, by virtue of an act of the legis-
lature, passed at December session eighteen hundred and thirteen,
a fire proof building, with four rooms, (for the safe keeping of the
public land records of said county) was built and erected upon part
of the public ground in Frederick Town, on which the court house
stands. Therefore,

Preamble.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
levy court of Frederick county is hereby authorised and required to
provide and make the necessary arrangements in any one or more of
the rooms in the said fire proof building, which may be necessary
for the safe keeping of the records and papers of the said orphans'

court, and for holding the said court; Provided nevertheless, that a
sufficiency of room be left in the said fire proof building which in
the opinion of the said levy court may be necessary for the safe
keeping of other public land records of said county, and the neces-
sary expenses for carrying into effect the provisions herein contained,
to be levied and paid in the same manner as other county charges.

CHAPTER 24.
An act for the benefit of William C. Beard, of Prince George's County.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
judges of Prince George's county court, or any one of them, are
hereby authorised and empowered to grant to William C. Beard,
of said county, the benefits of the several acts of assembly, passed

Insolvency.

for the relief of insolvent debtors; Provided, the said Heard shall
in all respects (except that of residence) comply with the requisitions
of said acts of assembly, and that he satisfy the said, judge or judges
that he did not come into this stave with the view of obtaining the
benefit of the said insolvent laws.

CHAPTER 22.
An act to authorise John Mason, of Worcester county, to import certain slaves
into this state.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That John
Mason, of Worcester county, be, and he is hereby authorised at any
time after the passage of this act, to remove and bring into this state
certain negro slaves—Saborah, aged about forty years, and two boys,
aged about sixteen years each, named Harry and Tully; and that the
removal of the said slaves to this state, shall not in any manner
entitle them to their freedom; Provided, that said slaves when remov-
ed agreeably to the provisions of this act, shall he registered among
the records of Worcester county court within three months after
their removal.
