7. And be it enacted, That it shall be, and is hereby made the duty
of each inspector to account for and pay under oath to the treasurer
of the western shore, monthly, all such monies as may be paid to him
under the provisions of this act, with an account of the number of
hogsheads of Tobacco inspected and delivered out by him during the
month for which his return is made, and that such bond shall be re-
corded in the office of Baltimore County Court, within twenty days
after the same is approved, and that a copy of the same, under the
seal of said court shall be as good and sufficient evidence in any court
in this state as the original would be if produced and legally proved.

8. And be it enacted, That if the inspector or inspectors appointed
under this act, shall fail to give the bond required by this act within
twenty days after the notification of his or their appointment, it shall
be, and is hereby rendered the duty of the Governor and Council, to
appoint some other inspector or inspectors in his or their place.

9. And be it enacted, That it shall be, and is hereby rendered the
duty of the inspectors appointed by this act to procure by purchase
or otherwise, For each of the houses of which they may be inspectors,
a good and sufficient beam and prizes, blocks, teackles, weights and
scales, to weigh fifteen hundred gross pounds at the least, and a set of
small weights such as are provided for the standard and weights of
said city, and proper marking irons, and other necessaries, and that
they shall render an account under oath of the expense thereof, with
the vouchers for the same to the treasurer of the western shore, and
that said treasurer shall pay on the order of each inspector or inspec-
tors, the amount of such expense.

10. And be it enacted, That it shall be, and is hereby made the
duty of the inspectors appointed under this act to provide the neces-
sary number of laborers, and other necessaries for the handling and
cooperage of all Tobacco inspected at the warehouse of which they
are inspectors, and to return under oath to the treasurer aforesaid,
an account of the expense thereof, with the vouchers for the same,
which shall be allowed said inspectors by the treasurer at each month-
ly settlement of their accounts.

11. And be it enacted, That nothing in this act contained shall be
taken or construed, to prevent the Levy Court of Baltimore County,
from appointing an inspector at a warehouse, to be provided by said
County in the City or elsewhere, any time hereafter, to inspect the
Tobacco, the growth and produce of said County, whose salary is to
be regulated and fixed in the same manner as the salaries of Tobacco
inspectors are regulated in other Counties.

12. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty of each and every
inspector appointed in virtue of this act, to employ a clerk, whose sa-
lary shall not exceed three hundred dollars annually.

13. And be it enacted, That in case it should hereafter be found
expedient to repeal this act, and to restore the system of inspection
heretofore in existence, that the proprietors of the present warehouses,
or their representatives, shall be re-instated in all the rights and pri-
vileges which they enjoy under the present laws.

14. And be it enacted, That the charges established by law on the
Tobacco now on hand in the warehouses at Baltimore, and inspected
before the first day of April next, be paid to the respective in-
spectors of said warehouses.

15. And be it enacted, That if the nett proceeds paid into the trea-
sury in virtue of this law, after deducting all expenses which may be
incurred in the execution thereof, shall not amount to a sum sufficient
