CHAPTER 38.
An act for the relief of Priscilla Grover and her two idiot sons of Cal-
vert County.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the justi-
ces of the levy court of Calvert county, be, and they are hereby
authorised and empowered, so long; as they shall deem it necessary,
to levy on the assessable property of said county, annually, a sum of
money not exceeding forty-five dollars, for the support and mainte-
nance of the said Priscilla Grover, and her two idiot sons, and that
the same be collected annually, by the collector of said county, and
by him paid over to the order of the levy court of said county.

CHAPTER 39.
An art for the relief of Elizabeth Leece, of Saint Mary's County.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That it
shall and may be lawful for the levy court of Saint Mary's county to
assess and lew annually on the assessable property of said county so
long as they may deem necessary, such sum as to them may seem rea-
sonable, not exceeding thirty dollars, for the support and maintenance
of the said Elizabeth Leech, and that the same be collected annu-
ally by the collector of St. Mary's county, and by him paid to the
said Elizabeth Leech, or her order.

CHAPTER. 40.
An act to enlarge the powers of the Trustees of the Poor of Charles
County.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That it shall
and may be lawful for the trustees of the poor in Charles county, and
they i»re hereby authorised and empowered in their discretion, to keep
any number of out pensioners not exceeding ten, in addition to the
number already provided for by law, upon the same circumstances
as are already prescribed by law.

CHAPTER 41.
An act authorising the Levy Court of Saint Mary's county, to levy
upon the assessable property of said county a sum of motley for the
support and maintenance of the afflicted child of William Mallingley,
Jr. of said county.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That it shall
and may be lawful for the levy court of St. Mary's county, to assess
and levy annually upon the assessable property of said county, so
long as they may deem it necessary, a sum of money not exceeding
thirty dollars, for the support and maintenance of the unfortunate
child nearly devoid of intellect, of William Mallingley, Jr. of Saint
Mary's county, and that the same be collected annually by the collec-
tor of said county, and by him paid to the said William Mallingley,
Jr. or his order for the use of the said child.
