Wares not to
be erected.

Be it enacted By the General Assembly of Maryland, That
from and after the passage of this act, it shall not be lawful for
any person or persons to set or erect any wear, hedge or other ob-
struction, in the North West Fork branch of the Nanticoke river,
from the North West Fork bridge, up to the mill of the said Robert
Boyce, so as to prevent the free passage of vessels, scows, rafts of
logs or scantling, from passing to and from said mill to said bridge,
under the penalty of the law to which this is a supplement.

CHAPTER 122.

An act for the benefit of Robert Boone.
Be it enacted By the General Assembly of Maryland, That
Robert Boone, of Jefferson county in the state of Virginia, be, and
he is hereby authorised to remove from the state aforesaid, and
bring into this state, at any time within one year after the passage
of this act, two female negro slaves named Letty and Peggy, and
also John, Lewis and George, children of the said Letty and Peg-

gy, and the same to retain or sell as slaves; Provided, The said
Robert Boone shall cause said negro slaves to be registered in the
office of the clerk of Frederick county within three months after
said removal; And provided also, That the said negroes shall not,
after their removal aforesaid, be sold out of the state, or for the pur-
pose of being carried out of the state.

1822.

CHAPTER 123.

An act to alter and change such parts of the constitution and form
of government, as relates to the division of Anne Arundel county
into election districts, and to change the place of holding elections
in the second election district of said county.

Repeal.

Sec. 1. Be it enacted By the General Assembly of Maryland,
That all that part of the constitution and form of government,
which relates to fixing the place of holding the elections in the se-
cond election district of Anne Arundel county, be and the same is
hereby repealed.

2. And be it enacted, That the election shall be held in the
said election district, at such places as shall hereafter from time to
time be provided by law, for the holding thereof.
3. And be it enacted, That the words "and electors of the
Senate of this state" in the third section of the act confirmed at No-
vember session eighteen hundred and seventeen, entitled, "An act
to alter and change such parts of the constitution and form of go-
vernment as relate to the division of Anne Arundel county into
election districts, and to change the place of holding elections in the
second district of said county," be and the same are hereby render-
ed null, void, and of no effect.

If confirmed to
be valid.

4. And be it enacted, That if this act shall be confirmed by
the General Assembly, after the next election of Delegates, in the
first session after such new election, as the constitution and form
of government direct, that in such case, this act, and the alterations
and amendments of the constitution and form of government there-
in contained, shall be taken and considered, and shall constitute
and be valid, as a part of the said constitution and form of govern-
