satisfied by the certificate of the orphans' court that the said debt for which indul-
gence is prayed is well and sufficiently secured, and upon such securities paying
six per cent interest and all costs due thereon, to stay any further proceedings
against such securities until the first day of January eighteen hundred and twenty-
three; Provided, That any judgments upon which proceedings may be stayed as
aforesaid shall continue and remain in full force, and executions may be issued at
any time within twelve months after the expiration of such stays.
No. 36.
Resolved, That the treasurer of the western shore be and he is hereby directed
to pay to Elizabeth Issabell of the city of Annapolis, or to her order for life, annu-
ally, in quarterly payments, a sum of money equal to the half pay of a sergeant at
a further compensation for services rendered by her husband during the revoluti-
onary war.
No. 37.
Resolved, That the treasurer of the western shore pay to Frisby Henderson,
Esq. or his order, of Cecil county, as trustee for Joseph Thomas, an old revolu-
tionary soldier, in quarterly payments during his life, the half pay of a private, as a
further remuneration for his services during the revolutionary war, and that the
trustee pay to the said Joseph Thomas the amount so received in such manner as
the said trustee shall think most advantageous for said Thomas' support.
, No. 38.
Resolved, That the printer of the state be allowed thirty days in addition to
the time united by law for printing the laws and votes and proceedings of the pre-
sent session.
No. 39.
1 Resolved, That the treasurer of the western shore pay to John Quynn, door-
keeper to the home of Delegates, the sum of sixty-dollars; to Andrew Slicer, mes-
senger to the senate, the sum of sixty dollars, for taking care of the furniture of
their respective rooms during the recess of the legislature.
No. 40.
Resolved, That all farther proceedings on a judgment against Henry Darden,
: one of the securities of William Chambers, be suspended until the twentieth day of
December next; Provided, That the said Henry Darden shall pay to the treasurer
of the eastern shore, on or before the fifteenth day of May next, one third part of
the interest and costs due on the whole amount of the claim against the said Wil-
liam Chambers and his securities.
No. 41.
Resolved, That the treasurer of the western shore be and be is hereby directed
to pay to William Sewell, of Talbot county, or to his order, during life, in quarterly
pay menu, a sum of money equal to the half pay of a private, as a further compen-
sation for those services rendered by him during the revolutionary war.
No. 42.
Resolved, That the treasurer of the western shore be and he is hereby directed
to pay to Sarah Wyndham of the city of Annapolis, or to her order for life annu-
ally, in quarterly payments, a sum of money equal to the half pay of a sergeant, as
a further compensation lor services rendered by her husband during the revoluti-
onary war.

Resolved That the treasurer of the western shore, be and he is hereby requi-
red to credit the account of Joshua Guyton, Esq. late sheriff of Harford county,
with the sum of two thousand dollars, the full amount of the forfeited recogni-
zances of Anthony Asher, Bernet Asher, Aby Asher and Richard Grimes, which
he the said Joshua Guyton stands charged with on the treasurer's books, and that
the said Joshua Guyton be, and he it hereby released from the full amount of the
forfeited recognizances of the aforesaid four persons, any law or resolution to the
contrary notwithstanding.

No. 44.
Resolved, By the General Assembly of Maryland, That the treasurer of the
western shore is hereby directed to dismiss the suit as instituted by this state against
the said John C. Hull and his securities and to cancel the said bond, upon the said
Hull executing a release for all his interest in the said land.
No. 45.
Resolved, That the treasurer of the western shore, be and he is hereby directed
to pay to Benjamin Uncles, of Anne Arundel county, or to his order, annually for
life, in quarterly payments, a sum of money equal to the half pay of a private, as a
further compensation for his services during the revolutionary war.
