CHAP. 84.

reverend Rector of the Church for the time being, (to be appoint-
ed according to the usage and discipline of the Catholic Church,)
and of seven lay members of the said congregation of the Cathe-
dral Church of Baltimore, to be annually elected in the manner
to be provided by the pastors and trustees aforesaid.

3. And be it enacted, That the trustees of the Roman Catholic
Church in the town of Baltimore, now in office, be and they are
hereby declared to be the Trustees of the Catholic Cathedral
Church of Baltimore, until the next annual election shall take
place, in manner and form as the pastors and trustees shall order
and direct.

&c transferred.

4. And be it enacted. That all the rights, privileges and immu-
nities, and all the property real, personal or mixed, now held, en-
joyed and possessed by the Trustees of the Roman Catholic Con-
gregation in the Town of Baltimore, be and they are hereby de-
clared to he, vested in the Trustees of the Catholic Cathedral
Church of Baltimore.

Parts of original
act repealed.

5, And be it enacted, That all such parts of the original act to
which this is a supplement, as are repugnant to the provisions of
this act, be, and the same is declared to be hereby repealed.

CHAP. LXXXV.

An Act to repeal all that part of the Constitution and Form of Government as
relates to the division of Washington County into five separate election Dis-
tricts, and for other purposes.

1. Be it enacted by Ike General Assembly of Maryland, That all
that part of the constitution and form of government, whereby
Wellington county hath been divided and laid off into five sepa-
rate election districts, be and the same is hereby repealed.

2. And be it enacted, That Washington county shall be divided
into seven separate election districts, and that the election for
the additional districts shall be held as follows: The one at the

3. And be it enacted, That the place for holding the elections
for election district number two, in Washington county, shall
hereafter be held at Williamsport.

4. And be it enacted, That if this act shall be confirmed by the
general assembly of Maryland, after the next election of dele-
gates, in the first session after such new election, as the constitu-
tion and form of government directs, in such case this art, and
the alterations herein contained, shall constitute and be consider-
ed as a part of the said constitution and form of government, to
all intents and purposes, any thing therein contained to the con-
trary notwithstanding.

CHAP. LXXXVI.

An Additional Supplement to the act, entitled, An act to provide for the Educa-
tion of Poor Children in Kent, Talbot, Cecil, Anne-Arundel and Montgome-
ry Counties.

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
every poor child above eight years of age, whose parents or
those under whose care he or she may be, are unable to pay for
the tuition of such child, shall have three years education at the
public charge, including the length of time that such child may
have been educated at the public expense prior to the passage of
