Deed made valid.

CHAP. LXV.

An Act to make valid a Deed from Daniel Carroll to Thomas Simpson.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
deed from Daniel Carroll to Thomas Simpson, of Montgomery
county, bearing date the twenty-second day of April, in the year
one thousand seven hundred and ninety-five, conveying a tract of
land in the said county, be good and valid to all intents and pur-
poses, as if the said Thomas Simpson had been a citizen of the
United States, at the time of the execution of the said deed, be
since that time having because a citizen of the United States.

Passed Jan. 19, 1821.

CHAP. LXVI.

An Act to encourage the Destruction of Crows in Kent County.

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That if
any person residing in Kent county, shall bring to any justice
of the peace of the said county, the head or heads of any crow
or crows, such person shall, for every such head, be allowed in
the county levy of said county, the sum of eight cents, and the
justice of the peace before whom such head or heads shall be brought
is hereby required to give the person bringing the same a certifi-
cate thereof, stating the number of heads; and the said justice
shall immediately cause the said heads to be burnt.

2. Provided nevertheless, And be it enacted, That no person what-
ever shall he entitled to receive a certificate as aforesaid, or any
allowance for any head or heads, without first making oath or af-
firmation that the crow or crows was or were killed in the said
county, and were not caught or taken alive in any other county,
and that no certificate hath been obtained from any other justice
of the peace for the same.

CHAP. LXVII.

An Act to provide for the building a Court House in Anne Arundel County.

WHEREAS sundry inhabitants of Anne-Arundel county have,
by their petition, set forth to the general assembly of Maryland,
that the public records of said county are in an exposed and dan-
gerous condition, by reason of there being no public court-house
or offices for their reception and preservation; Therefore,

Commissioners
appointed, &c.

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
Richard Ridgely, Thomas B. Dorsey, Lancelot Warfield, Samuel
Brown, Junr. Henry Woodward, Thomas Hodges, Rezin Estep,
Joseph M'Ceney, James P. Soper, Francis Hancock, John T.
Barber, and Richard Harwood, (of Thomas,) or the major part
of them, be and they are hereby appointed commissioners, and
authorised and em powered by virtue of this act. should they or a
major part of them he of opinion that the public records of said
county are in an exposed and dangerous condition by reason of
there being no public court house or offices for their reception and
preservation, to purchase for the use of Anne-Arundel county a
convenient and suitable lot or piece of ground within the city of
Annapolis, whereon to build a public court-house, with all neces-
sary offices, and to contract for the building the said court-house
and offices with such person or persons as they may think proper,
which court-house and offices, when so built, and finished, shall be
under the superintendence and control of the judges of Anne-
Arundel county court for the time being.
