WHEREAS it is right and proper that all persons who have given their time
and money to the public service should receive liberal and just compensation and
remuneration, and it is represented to this general assembly that Richard Pearce,
of Montgomery county, was diligent in his search after, and at much trouble
and expense in arresting a certain Richard Boston, who had burned and brok-
en from the gaol of said county; Therefore,
RESOLVED, That the treasurer of the western shore pay to Richard Pearce,
or his order, the sum of one hundred dollars.

RESOLVED, That the governor and council be and they are hereby authoris-
ed and requested, to adjust and pass the account of Thomas M. Fowler, deceas-
ed, commissary to the sixth brigade of Maryland militia, for rations furnished
Col. Athenatious Fenwick's regiment, from the 19th July to 17th August 1814,
provided they shall be satisfied from the vouchers now on file in the council
chamber, or which may be produced, that any rations were furnished the said
regiment, and that the governor be and he is hereby authorised to draw on the
treasurer of the western shore for the amount of said claim, when so adjusted
and passed, and that the same be paid out of any unappropriated money in the
treasury.

RESOLVED, That the printer of the state be allowed twenty days in addition
to the time limited by law, for printing the laws and votes and proceedings of
the present session, and that the treasurer of the western shore advance to him
the sum of seven hundred dollars, as part of the salary allowed on the civil list
for the present year, upon his giving bond and security as required by the law
of December session 1816, chapter 98.
