48. An act to grant the leave of the Legislature, to a sale
of land, to the Vestry of St. Paul's Parish, Calvert county.

49. An act appropriating a sum of money for the payment
of the claims of Collins, Heath and Hutchinson, Scott and
Wilson, John H. Slaymaker, Lewis Gootee, J. S. Merriken,
James Branzell, William Freeman, Henry G. Letournau,
William J. Jewell, George W. Beckenbaugh, John Wesley
White and James Murray.

50. An act to authorise the County Commissioners of Bal-
timore county, to levy on the assessable property of said
county, a sufficient amount of money to increase the wages
of laborers on the public roads of said county, above the
amount now allowed by law.

51. An act amendatory of the act entitled, an act to in-
corporate the Pickell Mining Company, passed at January
session, 1853, chapter 407, and to change the name of the
said Company to the Piedmont Coal and Iron Company.

52. An act to amend an act entitled, an act incorporating
the Maryland Institute for the promotion of Mechanic Arts,
passed December session, 1849, chapter 114.
