A FURTHER SUPPLEMENT TO AN ACT
passed at December session, eighteen hundred
and forty-nine, chapter 177, entitled an act to
reduce the present rates of premiums on wolf,
wild cat and foxes' scalps, in Allegany county.

Premium for
fox and wolf
scalps.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That from and after the passage
of this act, Commissioners of Allegany county
shall levy and pay for each and every fox scalp
taken in Allegany county, the sum of one dollar;
and for each and every wolf scalp taken in said
|

|
Proviso.
|
county, the sum of twenty dollars; Provided, the
person or persons taking such fox or wolf scalps,
shall prove and authenticate them in the same
manner as prescribed by the original act and its
supplements.
|
|
|
Repealed.
|
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That so much of the
act of eighteen hundred and forty-nine, chapter
177, section 1st, which is inconsistent with this
act, be, and the same is hereby repealed.
|

|
In force.
|
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the day of its passage.

AN ACT to make valid the election and ordinan-
ces of the Burgess and Commissioners of Me-
chanicstown, Frederick county.
|
|
|
Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, it has been represented to the General
Assembly of Maryland, that the election returns
of the Burgess and Commissioners of said cor-
poration are informal, not being under hand
and seal, in accordance with the original char-
ter, passed at December session, eighteen hun-
dred and thirty-one, chapter 111.
