therine Wistel, widow of Robert Purtle, a soldier
of the Maryland Line during the Revolution, the
sum of one hundred and fifty dollars, being the
arrears of pension for five years preceding the pas-
sage of this act; and in addition thereto he pay
to the said Catherine Wistel an annuity of thirty
dollars per annum for the remainder of her life.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT entitled an act to provide for the in-
crease of the per diem allowance of the Com-
missioners of Somerset county.
|

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the County Commissioners
of Somerset county shall be entitled to receive two
dollars and fifty cents per day for the time they
shall necessarily be employed in attending to the
duties of their office, and mileage at the rate of
five cents per mile.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That it shall be the
duty of the Commissioners of said county, at the
first meeting after their election, to determine the
amount of mileage each Commissioner shall be
entitled to receive, and to levy the sum, together
with the per diem as aforesaid, upon the assessable
property of the said county.

shall take effect from the tenth day of November
eighteen hundred and fifty-nine.
