Interest on
bonds to ho

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the
said Western Maryland Rail Road Company, be
and the same is hereby authorised, if the Presi-
dent and Directors shall so determine, in the issue
of all bonds to make the interest due thereon
payable quarterly instead of semi-annually.

Proviso.
|
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That said
Rail Road Company is hereby authorised to enter
upon, take and use the lands through which said
railroad shall pass, according to the provisions of
the act of incorporation of said Company, Pro-
vided, that a bond of indemnity, secured by per-
sonal security shall be tendered by said Company
to the owner or owners of such lands as shall be
injured by the construction of said railroad there-
on; if said bond of indemnity shall not be accept-
ed by the owners of said land, it shall be accepted
by the Judge of the Circuit Court of the county
in which said lands be situated, if in his judg-
ment he deem the security sufficient for the
damages to be sustained; said bond of in-
demnity to remain in full force until the payment
of such damages as shall be awarded by jury as-
sessment, as provided in the fifteenth section of
the act of incorporation of said Company, A. D.
eighteen hundred and fifty-two, chapter three
hundred and four.

Repealed.

Sec. 5. And be it enacted, That any acts con-
trary to this act are hereby repealed.

In force.
|
SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That this act shall
be of full force from the date of its passage.

AN ACT for the relief of the Maryland Hospital.
WHEREAS, by resolution number sixty-five, of
eighteen hundred and thirty-eight, passed April
third, eighteen hundred and thirty-nine, the
president and visitors of the Maryland Hospital
were enjoined to make the institution exclu-
sively a lunatic asylum, to appropriate one-half
