LAWS OF MARYLAND.

certain Richard L. Thomas, of Cecil county, a
deed of conveyance for a certain tract of land
therein mentioned, lying and being in Cecil
county aforesaid, And whereas, the said Richard
L. Thomas failed to have the said deed recorded
within the time prescribed by law for the re-
cording of deeds of conveyance of real estate;
Therefore,

Clerk autho-
rised.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the Clerk of the Circuit
court of Cecil county be and he is hereby au-
thorised and required to record said deed among
the land records of Cecil county aforesaid, and
that when said deed is so recorded it shall have
the same effect and validity as if it had been re-
corded within the time prescribed by law, Pro-
vided, that nothing in this act contained shall be
construed to prejudice the rights or interests of
bona fide creditors or purchasers for valuable con-
sideration, who became such prior to the passage
of this act.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.


CHAPTER 391.

AN ACT to amend the act incorporating the
Trustees of the Bladensburg Academy.

patrons.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the right of appointing and
electing the Trustees of the Bladensburg Academy
in Prince George's county, shall be hereafter and
the same is hereby vested in the patrons of said
Academy.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That on the second
Monday in April in the year eighteen hundred
and fifty-eight and on the same day in every year
thereafter, an election for nine Trustees of said
Academy shall be held at the building of the
