SEC. 2. And be if enacted, That the person or
persons bidding off said ferry, shall keep two
able bodied men, on board the ferry boat of said
ferry, from six o'clock in the morning, until nine
o'clock at night, and one able bodied man at said
ferry, from nine o'clock at night, until six o'clock
in the morning, whose duty it shall be, to carry
across all persons, through the day or night, who
wish to cross, by pulling said ferry boat across
said ferry; and said keeper or keepers, shall have
power to charge and receive from all non residents
not exempted by the act to which this is a supple-
ment, the following fee for ferriage, to wit: for
foot passengers, the sum of three cents each; for
a man and horse, six cents; for one horse and car-
riage with two wheels, twenty-five cents, or four
wheels, thirty-five cents; for two horses and car-
riage, forty cents; for one cart and oxen, ten cents;
for one wagon, with two or more horses, forty
cents; for all pedler's carriages or wagons and all
showmen's carriages and wagons, sixty cents each;
and it shall be the further duty of said keeper or
keepers of said ferry, to have the same kept open
during the entire time for which he or they may
have agreed to keep it, day and night.
