in the Hall of the House of Delegates; to Iglehart
& Caldwell, the sum of eight dollars and fifty-one
cents, for articles furnished the State House.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 378.

9, 1858.

AN ACT appropriating a sum of money for the
payment of the claims of John W. Davis,
James Hopkins, James H. League, J. Wesley
White, John E. Stalker and Richard Brashears.

Sum appro-
priated.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the sum of three hundred
and eighty-four dollars and seventy-nine cents, be
and the same is hereby appropriated for the pay-
ment of the claims of John W. Davis, for window
blinds furnished the State House, for the payment
of James Hopkins, for re-hanging two pictures in
Senate Chamber, for the payment of James H.
League, for mending lamps; for the payment of
J. Wesley White, for articles furnished the Li-
brary; for the payment of John E. Stalker, for
repairs done to the State House, for the payment
of Richard Brashears, for desk and screens fur-
nished for the Senate Chamber.

Treasurer au-
thorised to pay.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Treasurer
on the warrant of the Comptroller, be and he is
authorised to pay John W. Davis, twenty-four
dollars; to James Hopkins, five dollars, to James
H. League, three dollars; to J. Wesley White,
one hundred and eighty dollars and twelve cents ;
to John E. Stalker, twenty-seven dollars and sixty
seven cents, and to Richard Brashears, forty-five
dollars.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from and after its passage.
