V. Stinchcomb, the said sum of nine hundred and
eighty-four dollars and thirty cents.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 377.

In force.

AN ACT appropriating a sum of money to pay
William A. Spencer, Clerk of the Court Ap-
peals of Maryland, and John Palmer, late Clerk
of the Circuit Court of Queen Anne's county,
for fees due them; also, to pay A. B. Hagner,
for certain costs paid by him; also, to pay Jo-
seph J. Stewart, a certain sum due him by the
State; also, to pay John T. Wright, for services
rendered; also, to pay Lewis F. Goottee, for
services rendered; also, to pay Iglelart & Cald-
well for articles furnished the State.

8, 1858.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the Treasurer, upon the
warrant of the Comptroller, is hereby authorised
and directed to pay William A. Spencer, Clerk
of the Court of Appeals of Maryland, the sum of
forty-three dollars, for fees due him by the State;
to John Palmer, late Clerk of the Circuit Court of
Queen Anne's county, the sum of six dollars and
eighty cents for fees due him by the State; to
Alexander B. Hagner, the sum of forty-seven
dollars and seventy-two cents, for costs paid by
him in the case of John Cochran, use of A. B.
Hagner vs. the State; to Joseph J. Stewart, the
sum of thirty-seven dollars, for services as Chief
Clerk at a former session of the House of Dele-
gates; to John T. Wright, the sum of six dollars,
for washing eight dozen towels for the Senate
Chamber; to Lewis F. Goottee, the sum of twen-
ty dollars and sixty cents, for repairing furniture
