CHAPTER 379.
|

AN ACT allowing compensation to William C.
Cunningham, William D. Grim, John L. Her-
ring, James L. Dorsey, James H. Stone, Charles
A. Talbott, Benjamin Dyer and Charles H.
Bowen, agents for the collection of taxes in ar-
rears in the city of Baltimore, due the State of
Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That Charles A. Talbott, Ben-
jamin Dyer and Charles H. Bowen, be allowed
each the sum of two hundred dollars, and that
William C. Cunningham, William D. Grim, John
L. Herring, James H. Stone and James L. Dor-
sey, be allowed each the Bum of six hundred dol-
lars, as compensation for the collection of taxes
in arrears, due in the city of Baltimore, and paid
into the Treasury of the State.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from its passage.

AN ACT appropriating a sum of money to pay
Eliza Herring, Executrix of William H. Her-
ing, deceased, for a commission under an ap-
pointment of the Governor of Maryland, paid
by the said William H. Herring, in his lifetime
to the clerk of the Superior court of Baltimore
city.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the Comptroller of the
Treasury, be and he in hereby authorised and di-
rected to issue his warrant to the Treasurer, au-
thorising and directing him to pay out of any un-
appropriated funds in the Treasury, to Eliza
Herring, Executrix of William H. Herring, the
