this act, the said Commissioners shall reserve
the buildings now used, with the appurtenances,
until other suitable buildings for the use of the
paupers shall be obtained.

Duty of Com-
missioners.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the county
commissioners of Harford county be and they are
hereby authorised to invest the proceeds arising
from any sale or sales that may be made under
the first section of this act, or so much thereof as
may be necessary in the erection of new buildings
and in the purchase of lands, which by this act
they are empowered to make; and to provide more
fully for such purchases and improvements, the
said county commissioners are further authorised
(if in their judgment it shall be necessary or ex-
pedient) to levy upon the assessable property of
said county, a sum of money not exceeding five
thousand dollars, Provided, that not more than
one thousand dollars thereof shall be levied in any
one year.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

A SUPPLEMENT to the act entitled an act for
the better regulation of officers' fees, so far as
the same relates to Somerset county.
|

Time extended
for sending out
fees.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the time prescribed by
the eleventh section of the act of the General
Assembly of this State, passed at December ses-
sion, seventeen hundred and seventy-nine, chap-
ter twenty-five, for officers to send out fees on
execution, be and the same is hereby extended
so that said fees may be sent out between the first
day of January and the fifteenth day of July in
each year, and that the time fixed by the eigh-
teenth section of the said act, for sheriffs to pay
over to each creditor their several and respective
