LAWS OF MARYLAND.

CHAPTER 348.

Passed March
8, 1858.

AN ACT to authorise the Jefferson Division,
number one hundred and sixty-three, of the
Sons of Temperance, to erect an additional
story upon the Primary School House, in Jeffer-
son School District, Frederick county.

Authorised to
erect an addi-
tional story.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the Jefferson Division, num-
ber one hundred and sixty-three, of the Sons of
Temperance, are hereby authorised, to erect an
additional story upon the Primary School House,
in Jefferson School District of Frederick county.

Right of Hall
to vest in.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That when such said
story shall have been completed and finished into
a suitable Hall, for meetings and other uses, as
approved by said Division, that the exclusive
right to said Hall shall vest and remain in said
Division, so long as said Division shall maintain
its distinctive organization.

In force.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from and after the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 349.

Passed March
10, 1858.

AN ACT appropriating a sum of money for the
payment of the claims of J. Wesley White,
Paul Martin and Mary R. Sullivan.

Sum appro-
priated.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the sum of three thou-
sand and eighty dollars and five cents, be and
the same is hereby appropriated for the payment
of the claims of J. Wesley White, for articles
furnished the library for the use of the Maryland
Legislature; for the payment of Paul Martin,
for ice furnished the State House; for the pay-
ment of Mary R. Sullivan, for washing towels
for the House of Delegates.
