CHAPTER 347.

AN ACT to repeal the tenth section of the act
passed at January session, eighteen hundred
and fifty-two, chapter ninety-three, entitled an
act to alter and amend the charter of the Cum-
berland Coal and Iron Company, incorporated
by an act entitled an act to incorporate the
Cumberland Coal and Iron Company, passed at
December session, eighteen hundred and fifty,
chapter two hundred and fourteen.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the tenth section of the
act, passed at January session eighteen hundred
and fifty-two, chapter ninety-three, entitled an act
to alter and amend the charter of the Cumberland
Coal and Iron Company, incorporated by an act,
entitled an act to incorporate the Cumberland
Coal and Iron Company, passed at December ses-
sion, eighteen hundred and forty, chapter two
hundred and fourteen, whereby the said company
was required to mine out and carry to the Atlan-
tic market, at least two hundred thousand tons of
coal, under the penalty of a forfeiture of its cor-
porate rights, privileges and franchises be, and
the same is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect whenever, and as soon as the same
shall be accepted by the stockholders of said com-
pany, in a meeting of the stockholders duly con-
vened for the purpose of considering the same.
