ment of Lewis Gootee, for services rendered in
cleaning up the hall of the House of Delegates,
and Committee Rooms; for the payment of J. S.
Merriken, for services rendered in cleaning up the
Senate Chamber; for the payment of James Bran-
zell, for services as lamplighter to the Legislature,
of eighteen hundred and fifty-six; for the pay-
ment of William Freeman, for repairs .and ma-
terials for State House; for the payment of H. G.
Letourneau, for repairing clock in the hall of the
House of Delegates; for the payment of William
J. Jewell, for glazing seven glasses for State
House: for the payment of George W. Becken-
baugh, for services rendered as Committee Clerk;
for the payment of John Wesley White, for arti-
cles furnished for the House of Delegates and Sen-
ate of Maryland; and for the payment of James
Murray, for services as clerk in Land Office, under
resolution eighty-five, of eighteen hundred and
thirty-one.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Treasurer
on the warrant of the Comptroller, he and he is
authorised to pay to Collins, Heath and Hutchin-
son, seventy dollars; to Scott and Wilson, three
hundred and one dollars; to John H. Slaymaker,
seventeen dollars and twenty-five cents; to Lewis
Gootee, two hundred dollars; to J. S. Merriken,
one hundred and seventy-five dollars; to James
Branzell, twenty-four dollars; to William Free-
man, one hundred and ten dollars and eighty-eight
cents; to H. G. Letourneau, six dollars; to Wil-
liam J. Jewell, two dollars; to George W. Beck-
enbaugh, twenty-eight dollars; to John Wesley
White, four hundred and forty-six dollars and fif-
teen cents; to James Murray, forty-one dollars and
sixty-one cents.

Treasurer au-
thorised to pay.

SEC. 3. And be, it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from and after its passage.
