teen hundred and forty-three and eighteen hun-
dred and forty-four, according to the amounts
charged against him for said years, upon the
hooks of the County Commissioners, of Somerset
county.

AND WHEREAS, it is represented to this General
Assembly, That the said William H. Jones
did not receive any interest upon the taxes for
said years, collected by him previous to the
operation of the act of Assembly passed at
December session, eighteen hundred and forty-
five, chapter two hundred and three, section
five; Therefore,

SECTION 2. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the Comptroller, be and
he is hereby authorised, in the settlement of the
accounts of the said William H. Jones, as col-
lector for said years, not to charge any interest
against the said collector, upon so much of said
taxes as were collected and paid into the treasury
by him, before the first day of June, eighteen
hundred and forty-six.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from its passage.

AN ACT to allow the Clerk of the Circuit Court
for Prince George's county, to draw and assort
the names of Jurors summoned to any term of
said court.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That when the sheriff of Prince
George's county shall hereafter, as required by
law, make return of the persons summoned to
any term of the Circuit Court for Prince George's
county, hereafter to be held, it shall be the duty
