LAWS OF MARYLAND.

to wit: on the twenty-fifth day of October, eigh-
teen hundred and six, conveyed by Thomas Hope,
of said county, to John Clendenen and others,
Trustees of the Bethel Congregation, he and the
same is hereby vested in and shall be held by
Charles Besler, James Kirkwood, John B. Kirk-
wood, Nicholas H. Nelson, Robert E. Starett.
John Wiley, Joshua H. Hope, Isaac Cairnes and
William Glenn, Trustees of the Bethel Presby-
terian Church, in Harford county, and their suc-
cessors, for the same uses and with the same
power as if they had been appointed trustees in
accordance with the said deed of trust from
Thomas Hope.

In force.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 47.

Passed Febru-
ary 4, 1858.

AN ACT to empower the board of Commission-
ers of Washington county to lay off a new
election district in said county, to be composed
of parts of election districts number three and
number four in said county, and to cause the
polls thereof to be held at Cunningham's
Cross Roads.

New election
District.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That for the greater convenience
of voting in Washington county, it shall be law-
ful from and after the passage of this act for the
Commissioners of Washington county, or a ma-
jority of them, to lay off a new election district
in said county, the same to be formed out of elec-
tion districts known as number three and four
in said county.

To be known
as District No.
Thirteen.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Commis-
sioners aforesaid, or a majority of them, having
laid off a new election district, in pursuance of this
act it shall be designated as district number
