other conveyance, which under the existing
laws of this State, he is unable to do; Therefore;

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the said James H. Thomas,
be and he is hereby authorised , to devise, bequeath
and dispose of his said real and personal estate,
by his last will and testament, or convey the same
by deed or other conveyance, and the person or
persons to whom he may devise, bequeath, trans-
fer or convey the same, are hereby authorised and
empowered to have, hold, occupy, possess and en-
joy the said real and personal estate, as fully as if
the said James H. Thomas, under existing laws
of this State, could have disposed of the said real
and personal property, by last will and testament,
deed or other conveyance, any law, usage or cus-
tom to the contrary notwithstanding.

SEC. 2. And be. it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 305.

In force.

AN ACT for the relief of the heirs and personal
representatives of Joshua M. Turner, late of
Baltimore city, deceased.

Passed March

5, 1858.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the heirs and personal rep-
resentatives of Joshua Maybury Turner, late of
the city of Baltimore, deceased, be and the same
are hereby released from all liabilities, both at law
and in equity, for and on account of certain judg-
ments obtained against said Joshua M. Turner,
at the suit of the State of Maryland, being of re-
cord in the Superior court of Baltimore city afore-
said, and obtained respectively on the twenty-sixth
of June, eighteen hundred and fifty-four, and the
fourth of September, eighteen hundred and fifty-
four.
