LAWS OF MARYLAND.

the said Alexander McGregor Murray, are hereby
released to, and in favor of the said James Mur-
ray, his heirs and assigns, forever.

Estate liable.

SEC. 3. And be if. enacted, That the creditors
(if any there be) of the said Alexander McGregor
Murray, deceased, shall have the same right to
make the said real estate liable for the debts of
the said Alexander McGregor Murray, as if he,
the said Alexander, had been a citizen of the
United States, and capable of holding the said real
estate.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 44.

Passed Febru-
ary 2, 1858.

AN ACT directing the Treasurer, on the warrant
of the Comptroller, to pay to Louisa Gassaway
the residue of the pension due to her mother,
Mrs. Elizabeth L. Gassaway, at the time of her
death.

Treasurer au-
thorised to pay.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the Treasurer, on the
warrant of the Comptroller of the State, be, and
in hereby authorised and directed to pay to Louisa
Gassaway, of the city of Annapolis, the only
child and heir at law of Elizabeth L. Gassaway,
recently deceased, the residue of the pension due
her by the State at the time of her death, as the
widow of General John Gassaway.

In force.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
