and required to pay to William A. Spencer, clerk
of the Court of Appeals of Maryland, the sum of
five hundred and sixteen dollars and thirty-six
cents, ($516 36) being the amount duo him by the
State, for fees.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT entitled "An Act for the relief of
James Murray."
|

WHEREAS, Alexander McGregor Murray, a native
of Scotland, who during the latter part of his
life resided in Harford county, and died intes-
tate, seized of real estate in the said county,
did in due season make the declaration pre-
scribed by the first condition of the first section
of the act of Congress, entitled "An act to es-
tablish an uniform rule of naturalization, and
to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that sub-
ject," in conformity with the provisions of the
Act of Assembly in such case made and pro-
vided, but omitted afterwards to become natu-
ralized within the time required by law; And
whereas, James Murray, of said county, sur-
viving brother of the said Alexander McGregor
Murray, is a citizen of the United States,
having been naturalized, Therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the said James Murray is
entitled, and hereby is authorised and empowered,
to hold unto the use of himself, his heirs and as-
signs, all the real estate whereof the said Alex-
ander McGregor Murray was at the time of his
death seized or possessed, or to which he was any-
wise entitled at law or in equity.

SEC. 2. And be if enacted, That all the right,
title and claim of the State of Maryland in or to
the said real estate, by reason of the alienage of
