CHAPTER 268.

AN ACT to confirm and make valid a certain
deed therein mentioned, from Eleanor Harding
to William H. Hardey.
|
|
|
Made valid.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the. deed of conveyance
from Eleanor Harding to William H. Hardey,
bearing date on the sixth day of July, in the year
eighteen hundred and fifty-seven, and recorded
amongst the land records of Howard county, on
the twenty-seventh day of January, in the year
eighteen hundred and fifty eight be, and the same
is hereby confirmed and made valid to all intents
and purposes, as though nothing in this act con-
tained shall be construed to affect the rights or
interest of bona fide creditors, or purchasers for
valuable consideration, which accrued prior to the
passage of this act.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from and after its passage.

AN ACT to authorise the Comptroller of the
Treasury to procure and use a Stamp upon Li-
censes issued from his office, and to repeal so
much of the act of Assembly passed January
Session, eighteen hundred and fifty-three, chap-
ter eighty-six, as requires Licenses to be coun-
tersigned by him.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the Comptroller of the
Treasury be and is hereby authorised and direct-
ed to procure a stamp of such design and descrip-
tion as in his judgment shall be best adapted to
this purpose, to be used upon all licenses issued
from his office.
