SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the Treasurer, on the
warrant of the Comptroller he, and he is hereby
directed, to pay to Emily Wilmot, sister of Adju-
tant General John Wilmot, deceased, the balance
of salary due him up to the day of his death.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to set apart the real estate of Balti-
more county, known as the Alms House pro-
perty, for the payment of the Public Debt of
said county, and for dedicating the same to the
reduction of the direct taxes of said county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That it shall he the duty of the
County Commissioners of Baltimore county, on
or before the second Tuesday in May, eighteen
hundred and fifty-nine, to cause the real estate
acquired by said county, by the severance of the
joint ownership of Baltimore City and County,
in the estate known as the Alms House property,
obtained by partition, to be laid off, located and
platted, in lots of such size, or quantity, not ex-
