lower College Class, they shall make report there-
of to the Visitors, who shall, thereupon, proceed as
in other like cases to cause another appointment
to he made, then the said Visitors may in their
discretion dismiss or suspend him.

To be in force.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall
be in force immediately from and after the Board
of Visitors and Governors of said College by a
certificate from the President and Secretary of
said Board, shall signify to the Governor their
acceptance of this act.

CHAPTER 192.

AN ACT for the better regulation of Primary
Schools in Carroll County.

6, 1858.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That from and after the pas-
sage of this act, the Trustees of Primary Schools
in Carroll county, and their successors in office,
may and it shall he lawful for them to warrant
and sue, and he warranted and sued, by the name
or style of the Trustees of Primary Schools num-
ber one, two, three, &c., in District number one,
two, three, &c., in Carroll county, to the same
extent, and in the same manner as if they were a
body corporate or politic.

Commission-
ers may sue
and be sued.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the legal voters
of the several school districts in Carroll county,
shall assemble on the first Saturday in June next,
and annually thereafter, and elect from among
the inhabitants three discreet persons, who shall
constitute a board of trustees for said districts,
and shall serve for one year from the date of their
election, or until their successors shall he qualified,
the polls at the election as aforesaid shall be kept
open from one o'clock, P. M., till four o'clock,
P. M., and the three persons receiving the high-
est number of votes cast shall be declared duly
elected, and it shall he the duty of the trustees
so elected, to notify the legal voters of the dis-
