turnable.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That any process which
may have heretofore issued or shall hereafter
issue, returnable to the second Monday of April
next, shall be considered returnable to the fourth
Monday of April next.

In force.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 18.

Passed Febru-
ary 11, 1858.

AND ACT to provide for making a general
index to judgments in Somerset county.

Clerk to cause
to be recorded.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the Clerk of the Circuit
Court for Somerset county, cause to be made out
and recorded in a well bound book, an accurate
index of all judgments rendered by Somerset
county court, and the Circuit Court for Somerset
county, since the first day of January, Anno
Domini eighteen hundred and forty-five, and
continue the same from time to time as judgments
may be rendered, and that the same be indexed
in the name of the plaintiff or plaintiffs and in
the name of each and every defendant.

Compensation.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the said
clerk shall for said services be allowed the same
compensation which is now allowed by law for
similar services, to be levied and paid by the
county commissioners for Somerset county.

SEC. 3. And be. it further enacted, That this act
shall take effect from the date of its passage.
