limits of said Cemetery, or shall shoot or dis-
charge any gun or other firearms, within the said
limits, shall be defined guilty of a misdemeanor,
and shall upon conviction thereof, before any Jus-
tice of the Peace of the State, be punished by a
fine at the discretion of the Justice, according to
the aggravation of the offence of not less than five
nor more than fifty dollars.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the sixth sec-
tion, and all other parts of the original act to
which this is amendatory, inconsistent with the
provisions of this, be and the same are hereby re-
pealed.

Repealed.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the day of its passage.

CHAPTER 148.

In force.

AN ACT to legalize the election and acts of the
present Burgess, assistant Burgess and Com-
missioners of the town of Boonsboro', in Wash-
ington county.

Passed Febru-
ary 20, 1858.

WHEREAS, the corporate officers of the town of
Boonsboro' in Washington county, elected at
the time prescribed by law, failed to qualify and
to act; And whereas, thereupon afterwards, the
legal and qualified voters of said town, assem-
bled and elected other officers, who have since
qualified and entered upon the discharge of their
respective duties as prescribed by law; and
doubts are entertained of the legality of said elec-
tion and of the acts of said officers; Therefore,

Preamble.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the election of a Burgess,
assistant Burgess and five Commissioners of the
town of Boonsboro', by the qualified voters of
said town, after the time prescribed by law, and
the acts of the said corporate officers, are hereby
