the whole amount of damages to which all the
owners collectively are entitled, and the quantity
or duration of interest in the said property to
which the several owners named in the warrant
.are entitled, and the said inquisition shall be
signed and sealed by the jury and attested by the
sheriff, who shall return the same to the Clerk of
the Circuit Court for Cecil county, to be filed in
said Court.

SEC. 6. And Re it enacted, That the said inqui-
sition shall be confirmed by the said court at the
term succeeding the filing of the same, if no suffi-
cient cause to the contrary be shown; and when
confirmed shall be recorded by the clerk of the
said court, and it shall be the duty of said court
at the same time to apportion the damages as afore-
said found by the jury in, all cases where the pro-
perty condemned is held jointly, whether the
owners thereof be tenants in fee simple, for trust,
for life, or years.

Inquisition
shall be con-
firmed.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That upon the con-
firmation of the said inquisition and the payment
or tender of the damages found in said inquisition,
to the owner or owners of said real estate, his,
her or their legal representatives, the said presi-
dent and commissioners shall have vested in them
the estate, use and interest of said owner or
owners in the property condemned for the purpo-
ses aforesaid, as fully as if the said property had
been conveyed by said owner or owners; and the
damages assessed, if not received when tendered
may be received at any time thereafter from said
president and commissioners by said owner or
owners or his, her or their legal representatives.

SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That if the said
court for cause shown should set aside the said
inquisition and return, another inquisition may
be ordered by the said court, and for this purpose
the clerk aforesaid shall issue a warrant to the
sheriff, who shall proceed in the manner herein-
before prescribed, and shall return the inquisition
to the next term of the said court to be confirmed
as aforesaid.

and commissioners shall not take possession of
any property condemned under this inquisition
