by him into the State Treasury, and which de-
ducted from the above amount, leaves the amount
paid by him into the Treasury of the State, of
forty-four dollars and thirty-eight cents, and
it is right and proper that the same should be
refunded to the said Thomas Gorsuch; There-
fore,

Authorised to
pay.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the Treasurer of the State,
be and he is hereby required to pay upon the war-
rant of the Comptroller of the State, to Thomas
Gorsuch of Baltimore county, the sum of forty-
four dollars and thirty-eight cents, being the
amount paid by the said Commissioner of the Land
office, into the Treasury of the State, for the said

Thomas Gorsuch.

In force.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 143.

AN ACT the more effectually to prevent the
commission of trespass within the limits of
Prince George's county, by persons residing out
of the State.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the citizens of Prince
George's county are . very much annoyed by the
trespass of certain lawless persons, residing in
the District of Columbia and elsewhere, out of
this State, by coming upon their lands, shooting,
and otherwise destroying their property, great-
ly to their injury; Therefore,

Trespassing—
penalty.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That if hereafter, any person or per-
sons residing out of the State of Maryland, shall
commit any trespass whatever upon, the hinds with-
in the limits of Prince George's county, by destroy-
ing proper ty, or coming on the same with dog or
