AN ACT to continue in force the act passed at
January session eighteen hundred and fifty-two,
chapter three hundred and sixteen, also the act
passed January session eighteen hundred and
fifty-five, chapter forty-six, relative to the ap-
pointment of a commissioner to take testimony
to perpetuate the lost records in Dorchester
county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the act of Assembly pass-
ed January session eighteen hundred and fifty-two
chapter three hundred and sixteen, entitled an
act to authorise the appointment of a commission-
er to take testimony, to provide for the recording
of wills and other papers, of which the originals
were lost, by the burning of the court house in
Dorchester county, and to render as far as practi-
cable, the evils likely to arise from the destruction
of the records of said county, and the supplements
thereto, passed at January session eighteen hun-
dred and fifty-four, chapter forty-six and January
session, eighteen hundred and fifty-six, chapter
one hundred and three, be and the same are here-
by continued in force until after the tenth of March
eighteen hundred and sixty.
