CHAPTER 115.

Passed March
3, 1858.

AN ACT to authorise George Vickers, executor
of Sarah P. Wilson, deceased, to pay over to
the Legatees and persons entitled under the last
will and testament, residing in the State of
Pennsylvania or elsewhere, and to authorise the
Orphans' Court of Kent county, to allow the
receipts of said Legatees or persons entitled, to
the executor, as credits, in the settlement of the
accounts on the estate.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That George Vickers, of Kent
county, and executor in Maryland of the last will
and testament of Sarah P. Wilson, late of Wash-
ington county, in the State of Pennsylvania, he
and he is hereby authorised and empowered to pay
to the Legatees of the said Sarah P. Wilson, de-
ceased, residing in the State of Pennsylvania or
elsewhere, all Legacies and moneys bequeathed to
them by the said Sarah P. Wilson, in her said
will and testament, a certified copy of which is on
record in the office of Register of Wills for Kent
county aforesaid, and that the receipts of said
Legatees or beneficiaries under said will, acknow-
ledged before a Justice of the Peace in the county
in which they reside or may happen to be at the
time, and with a certificate of the qualification of
the Justice annexed under the hand and official
seal of the Clerk or Prothonotary of the court or
county, in which the Justice may reside, shall
have the same effect with and be passed and al-
lowed by the Orphans' Court of Kent county, as
credits to the executor in Maryland, as if the said
moneys had been paid to the executor in Pennsyl-
vania and his receipts were produced before the
said court, according to the directions of the said
last will and testament, and that the Executor in
Maryland shall not be liable or subject to suit by
the executor in Pennsylvania for money thus paid
or allowed.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That if the executor
aforesaid, in Maryland, shall charge himself with
moneys, as owed by him to the said testatrix be-
