and to distribute the same, and all other its prop-
erty and means, for the benevolent purposes afore-
said, and upon such principles, and under such
restrictions and regulations, as may from time to
time be prescribed in regard thereto, by the con-
stitution, rules and by-laws, of said society; and
the assent of the Legislature, is hereby given to
the payment and delivery over by the Methodist
Preachers Aid Society of Baltimore, to the corpo-
ration hereby created, of such parts of the funds
and property of that corporation, as in and by the
division above mentioned, shall be ascertained to
be the portion thereof, to be thus placed under the
direction of the East Baltimore Conference afore-
said; and power and authority is hereby given to
the corporation hereby created, if it shall think
the same advisable, to file a bill and obtain a de-
cree for the payment and delivery over aforesaid.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That nothing in this
act contained, shall be construed in anywise to in-
terfere with or affect the powers, rights and au-
thorities, of The Methodist Preachers Aid Society
of Baltimore, over and in regard to the property,
real, personal or mixed, which may remain in the
hands of that corporation, after the said division
shall have been consummated by the payment and
delivery pursuant thereto, or which may come
into its lands subsequently; subject nevertheless
to the claim of the corporation hereby created, to
its due share of any funds or property whatsoever,
which may have been given, devised or bequeathed
to the said old corporation, prior to the passage
of this law, but not yet vested in possession, in
said old corporation of the Methodist Preachers
Aid Society of Baltimore.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
