for either of the carriages last mentioned with
four horses, twenty cents; for every other vehicle
by whatever name it may be known, the like sums
according to the number of wheels and horses
drawing the same; for every cart or wagon whose
wheels do exceed four inches in breadth, three
cents per horse drawing the same.

SEC. 9. And be it enacted, That this company
shall have the power to prevent travel on said
road during the construction of the same.
|

SEC. 10. And be it enacted, That nothing in
this act shall be so construed as to authorise said
corporation to issue any note, token, scrip, device
or other evidence of debt to be used as currency ;
and that the legislature reserves to itself the right
to alter or amend this act of incorporation at plea-
sure.

AN ACT to authorise the Commissioners of Anne
Arundel county, to levy a sum of money therein
mentioned, for the Primary Schools of said
county.
|

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the Commissioners of Anne
Arundel county, bo and they are hereby autho-
rised and directed, to levy such an additional tax
on the assessable property of said county, as will
enable them to pay for the use of the primary
schools respectively of said county, fifty dollars in
each year, to each school, in addition to the sum
now levied and applied for the same use, and the
same to be collected under the same laws, and in
the same manner as other taxes now arc and shall
hereafter be in said county.
