ed to divide and distribute the school funds of said
county, now distributable, and which accrued at the
close of the year eighteen hundred and fifty-five,
equally to and between the several school districts of
said county, so that each of said school districts may
receive and have for distribution, for the purposes of
education within its limits, an equal amount of said
funds; and the said court are hereby further directed
in all future distributions of the school funds of said
county, to observe and adhere to the same rule of
equal distribution to each and every of said school
districts.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect and be in force from and after the day of
its final passage by the Legislature.

CHAPTER 62.

To take effect.

AN ACT granting the assent of the Legislature to a
bequest of a legacy made in the will of Sarah
Hayward, of Somerset county, to the vestry of
Somerset parish, in said county.

Passed Mar.
6, 1856.

WHEREAS, Sarah Hayward, late of Somerset county,
bequeathed to the vestry of Somerset parish of the
Protestant Episcopal Church, in which the church
in Princess Anne is situated, the sum of four hun-
dred dollars, to be invested by said vestry, and the
interest to be applied to the repair and preservation
of the enclosure around the Protestant Episcopal
Church in Princess Anne and whereas, said
church in Princess Anne is situated within the
bounds of Somerset parish, in Somerset county;
therefore,

Preamble.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the assent of the Legislature
is hereby given to carry into effect the bequest in the
will of Sarah Hayward, late of Somerset county, de-
ceased, in favor of the vestry of Somerset parish, in
Somerset county.
