. 96. An act to provide for the appointment of the trustees for the
poor, by the county commissioners for Frederick county, for the
appointment of keeper of the poor's house by the trustees for the
poor, and to specify their powers and duties.

97. An act to establish and endow an Agricultural College in
the State of Maryland.

98. An act to authorize and require the county commissioners
for Kent and Queen Anne's counties, to levy on their respective
counties a sum of money to erect a free bridge over Chester river,
at a point called Crompton Ferry.

99. An act to repeal an act passed at January session, eighteen
hundred and fifty four, chapter one hundred and ninety four, en-
titled, an act for the better protection of slaveholders in the seve-
ral counties therein mentioned.

100. An act to increase the allowance to the sheriff of Prince
George's county, for keeping and supporting persons committed to
the jail of said county, for breaches of the peace or for any crimi-
nal offences.

101. An act to amend the act entitled, an act to incor-
porate the "Frederick and Emmittsburg Turnpike Company,"
passed at December session, eighteen hundred and forty four,
chapter one hundred and thirty six, and to authorise said company
to charge loll upon (he whole length of their road now finished
and to repeal the sixth section of said act.

102. An act to recognise the Preston Coal and Iron Company
of the State of Virginia as a corporation, and authorizing it to ex-
ercise the powers and privileges of a corporation within the State
of Maryland, for mining and manufacturing purposes.

103. An act to continue in force the act passed at January ses-
sion, eighteen hundred and fifty two, chapter three hundred and
sixteen, also the act passed January session, eighteen hundred and
fifty four, chapter forty six, relating to the appointment of a com-
missioner to take testimony to perpetuate the lost records in Dor-
chester county.

104. An act authorizing the vestry of Catoctin Parish, in Fred-
erick county, to hold additional real estate for Parish purposes, not
to exceed a certain quantity.

105. An act to authorise the erection of a bridge across the
north branch of Trent creek in St. Mary's county.

106. An act to change the name of Samuel Hamilton Wright,
of Prince George's county, to Samuel Hamilton.

107. An act authorising a patent to be issued to Peregrine Harp,
for the tract of land called "Minor's Beginning."
